Minister of youth and sports development in Nigeria, Hon. Sunday Dare has stated his intention to ensure equal pay for Nigerian male and female athletes.
Speaking to Cornerstonenewsng.comthe minister stated that he is not cool with the fact that the male and female athletes are on a different pay scale.
‘The same criteria should be applicable to all Nigeria Athletes, either male or female,’ the minister said.
“I will commit to making sure that when it comes to remuneration, when it comes to payments and opportunities to training, both the female and Male Athletes get to be on equal cue,” he said.
