Nasarawa United and Nigeria’s U23 national team striker Ibrahim Sunusi has expressed gratitude to God following the team’s qualification for the U23 AFCON after thrashing Sudan U23 5-0 yesterday in Asaba.
Sunusi speaking in a chat with Cornerstonenewsng.comsaid it was a game well planned with strategies and things worked out well for the team just as planned.
Sunusi revealed how the team intended to score in the opening 15 minutes and how they also planned the periodic play to rush the Sudanese side after every 15 minutes.
“Thanks to almighty Allah for giving us the victory in the match because before the match, we talked about the match how we must go through and how we have to get the result.
Our plan was to rush them in the opening first 15 minutes and another 15 minutes rush them again and take care of the game and that was how we started and the game went that way for us.”
