Factional leader of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), Tijjani Umar has accused the world governing body of Basketball, FIBA, of complicity in the leadership crisis rocking Nigeria’s basketball.
According to Umar, Africa’s office of FIBA is hobnobbing with the other faction in the lingering NBBF crisis to decimate the real owners of Nigeria’s basketball.
Umar, who spoke to Cornerstonenewsng.comsaid the stakeholders will not give up on the issue and will always do the right thing.
The basketball administrator also affirmed that players are losing their income and are completely disorganized due to the current state of things within the Basketball fraternity.
“This is July, the local League should be mid-way and we are only thinking of starting, this crisis has affected the real owners and players of the game,’ He concluded.
