Niger Tornadoes forward Osondu Jonathan believes his side will get their first league win of the of the season when they face Sunshine Stars FC of Akure in the Nigeria professional football league matchday 07 against Sunshine stars of Akure on Thursday.
Niger Tornadoes are yet to win a game In the six weeks old season including three home draws and same number of defeats in away games.
The form led to the resignation of former Coach Bernard Ogbe who has been replaced with Hamzat Abarah.
However Osondu noted that with the atmosphere and how the Minna faithful has supported the team , it won’t be long that the team will return to winning ways starting with game against Sunshine Stars on Thursday.
“Before the beginning of the new season, we’ve never had this kind of massive support from the fans”
“It what I’ve seen so far during the training session, I have the confidence that we will carry the day against Sunshine Stars”
“Sunshine Stars will definitely fall here in Minna because we need that maximum points to move up from the bottom of the log” He concluded.
Osondu joined from the premier side Abia Warriors during the 2017/18 mid-season transfer window of Nigeria professional football league.
