Alex Iwobi has once again proven he is a die-hard Arsenal fan after the midfielder revealed his prediction for next month’s UCL final between Liverpool and Tottenham.
An Arsenal academy product, Iwobi has spent four seasons in the first team and is heading to his second major European final in two seasons, where they face London rivals Chelsea on May 29 in Baku.
But, while that fixture is his prime concern, the Nigerian has also delved into the debate over who wins the UCL this year, and like the Gunner that he is, he shut down North London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur’s chances.
“We’re not trying to focus on Tottenham to be fair, I actually hope they lose,” he told Sky Sports
“We’re not trying to look at them, they’ve done well to be fair, you have to give it to them, but we want to focus on ourselves and bring a trophy back.”
