Victor Moses Stats Show He Can deliver Inter Milan the Europa League Title

Victor Moses is in familiar territory in the Europa League after Inter Milan punched a ticket for the round of 16, following a 4-1 aggregate victory over Ludogorets.

In his debut season at Chelsea, Moses made six appearances in the Europa League and scored four goals, an impressive return in his first outing.

All four of the Nigerian’s goals came in the knockout rounds – after Chelsea’s elimination from the Champions League.

Moses scored against Rubin Kazan and FC Basel in the home and away legs, in the quarter-final and semi-final rounds.

He was Chelsea’s second highest goal scorer in the campaign on their way to securing the title in a 2-1 win over Benfica.

In this campaign, the 29 year-old has played 162 minutes in two appearances for the Nerazzurri and can be very crucial to Antonio Conte’s quest for a European title.

At Chelsea, Moses won the Europa League as a Winger, but has been deployed primarily as a Defensive Wing-back by Conte.

Conte’s team are often robust and the strategy requires pacy flank men with defensive qualities as they transit both ends of the pitch and Moses has been quite effect.

In the second-leg of Inter’s round of 32 tie, the Nigerian was joint top for the most dribbles completed (5).

He also made two interceptions and a block in his first 90 minutes appearance since joining the Italian side.

Overall he was scored 6.7 in performance ratings by whoscored.com in Thursday’s encounter and totaled 6.90 in both games he’s featured in.

Inter Milan, three times winners, will next face Spanish side Getafe, who dumped out 2017 finalists Ajax to reach the round of 16.
