We must be at our best for visit of Katsina United, says Ogunbote

Rangers head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote is not happy with his side’s inability to pick the maximum points against Katsina United in one of the Nigeria Professional Football League rescheduled matches on Wednesday.

The Flying Antelopes needed a late goal from their Ghanaian import Seka Pascal to rescue a point from the game at the Muhammad Dikko Stadium.

Ogunbote, however, described the draw as “two points lost” and said they should have won by three or more goals margin.

“We thank God for picking a point on the road but this is more like two points lost. We should have rounded off the game in the first half when we lost many scoring chances.”

Ogunbote who was named Nigeria Coach of the year at the Nigeria Football Federation award ceremony in Lagos this week believes his wards must be at their best if they are to take the Chanji Boys led by Abdullahi Biffo to the cleaners in the reverse fixture at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium in Enugu on Sunday.

“We are playing them at home in our next match and we have to be at our best to win because we have a name to protect especially at home,”

Rangers are third with 18 points from 9 games, although with four games in hand.
