We will not leave Egypt empty handed – Ogu

Super Eagles midfielder, John Ugochukwu Ogu has voiced his firm belief that the national team of Nigeria will not leave Egypt empty handed, after seeing their hope of winning the AFCON trophy extinguished by Algeria.

The Eagles however do have a chance to win the bronze medal at the tournament in tomorrow’s losers final against the Catharge Eagles of Tunisia by 8:00pm Nigerian time.

With the players already trying to put Sunday night’s loss behind them and focus on defeating tomorrow’s opponents, Ogu, formerly with Israeli side, Hapoel BeerSheva, told Cornerstonenewsng.comthat they will not leave Egypt without winning anything.

“We need to really go back and work so as to make sure we leave this country with something”.

“The match against Tunisia is very important for us, and we need to be sure we get something out of it”.

“Everyone is sad, but what can we do? We just need to focus and prepare for the game against Tunisia”.
