Enyimba’s left winger, Stanley Dimgba has expressed his delight following the People’s Elephant 3-0 win against Sunshine stars over the weekend, stating that it was a confirmation of their resolve to bounce back and defend the title.
Dimgba told Cornerstonenewsng.comthat the target is to make the top four of the NPFL “Playing the CAF confederation cups and Nigeria league at the same time was hectic but since we have been eliminated from the continent our focus is solely on the league.
As players we will put our heads together and make sure we win all our home matches then try to take points away.”
He added that he’s confident that the outstanding games will count in their favour “We have five outstanding games and with this we can take the top of the table, our target is to win the league.”
Stanley Dimgba who doubled Enyimba’s lead from close range against Sunshine stars and won man of the match on sunday, disclosed that he was disappointed as their target was to win the CAF confederation cup.
Dimgba scored 4 goals and 3 assists before their ouster from the 19/20 continental showpiece.
NPFL defending champions, Enyimba are currently 9th on the Nigeria Professional Football League with 5 outstanding games.
