Super Eagles and Udinese of Italy defender, William Troost Ekong has revealed that he has been able to personally improve on his game since winning bronze for Nigeria at the last Olympic Games in Rio, which is helping him both at club and country level.
Ekong, who recently helped the Super Eagles to win bronze at the just concluded AFCON in Egypt, in a chat with brila.net, also added he is also still working hard on some aspects of his game, which he believes is reaping its rewards with his constant presence both for club and country.
“I think I have become a lot more aware of how am playing so I had to focus on my positioning and tactical aspect of my game, I don’t think my technique has changed or I have become fitter or stronger – I think it’s all about playing with your mind and brain which is something I believe I have developed now”.
“I’m still working on a lot and I believe it is reaping its rewards. It’s a bit of a two-way thing and I believe I can help the team as much as I can and I believe am doing that at the moment”.
