Nigeria professional football league side Yobe Dessert Stars FC have sack the club technical adviser Ngozi Elechi after he failed to meet the three ultimatum issued by the club management.
The management of Damaturu based club held an emergencymeeting on Sunday evening after the team’s 1-0 loss to Go Round in Omoku in the matchday twelve years on Sunday.
The management of the club said it had relieved the Former Go Round Coach of his duties due to his inability to turn the recent bad results around , after he was issued 3 matches ultimatum to do so.
In a statement of Club’s managing director Abdulrahman Ago which was made known to the public by the club media manager Comrade Jibo Zakari , Elechi was fired because of the bad run of results .
“We found ourselves in a very difficult situation”.
“We have lost 3 straight games in the space of 10 days, by this event we have to put in our boxes together to survive this season”
“I admire Elechi very much, I respect him very much. He seems a top trainer and that makes us harder to make the decision, but we do not any choice than to terminate his contract”
Ngozi Elechi replaced Mohammed Babaganaru as the technical adviser of Yobe Desert Stars at the beginning of the NPFL seasonand they are fourth on the of NPFL Group B with with 18 points from twelve games.
Next for Yobe desert stars is a trip to fellow strugglers GombeUnited to this weekend for their Nigeria professional football league matchday 13 matches.
