Joshua Zirkzee has won his first Bundesliga crown with Bayern Munich after their latest win over Werder Bremen on Tuesday.
Zirkzee who started and scored in Bayern Munich’s last weekend victory over Borussia Monchengladbach returned to the bench following the availability of first choice Robert Lewandowski.
Robert Lewandowski however celebrated his return to the side with a goal to make it 45 for the season, while Jerome Boateng got the second with a perfect chip to seal the league with two games to spare.
Bayern have now won 11th straight Bundesliga games and they owe 10 points lead over second Borussia Dortmund, who have three games left.
Zirkzee who has been capped at the junior level by the Netherlands, but still eligible to play for Nigeria, would be proud of his contributions to the Bavarians’ successful season.
Despite being used as a back up, the highly rated youngster contributed four Bundesliga goals to the campaign.
