Man United Forward Joins Sunderland On Loan

Manchester United Côte d’Ivoire young forward Amad Diallo has completed a loan transfer to Sunderland.

The Red Devils confirmed Diallo’s move on their website.

“Manchester United winger Amad is joining Sunderland on loan for the rest of the 2022/23 season, subject to registration.

“The Ivory Coast international helped Rangers reach the Europa League final and win the Scottish Cup during his temporary spell with the Glasgow club for the second half of last season.

Amad scored three times during his spell at Rangers, including a goal just four minutes into his debut against Ross County.

“He also scored early in his United career with a fantastic header against AC Milan in the Europa League round of 16 and found the net again in our home pre-season friendly with Rayo Vallecano last month.

“The 20-year-old went to the Tokyo Olympics, representing Ivory Coast, helping his country to reach the quarter-finals of the tournament.

“The winger will join up with new Sunderland boss Tony Mowbray. Amad will gain further experience in the Championship, continuing his progress in a new environment, while being closely monitored and supported by United staff.

“Everybody would like to wish Amad the best of luck this term as we follow his progress at the Stadium of Light.“
