2 Reasons to Pre-Order Fallout 76 & 4 Reasons to Wait

2 Reasons to Pre-Order Fallout 76 & 4 Reasons to Wait is a post by Adam Mills from Gotta Be Mobile.

Fallout 76 pre-orders have gone live ahead of Bethesda’s announcements at E3 2018. While some of you might want to order a copy of Fallout 76 in the near future, most of you are better off waiting.

In the buildup to Bethesda’s yearly BE3 launch event, the company’s confirmed a couple of new games including a new entry into the vaunted Fallout series.

Fallout 76 is official and it’ll join Rage 2, and perhaps other games, on stage during Bethesda’s launch event in Los Angeles, California.

Bethesda isn’t saying too much about the game yet, but we do have a few official details. We know the game centers on Vault 76, a vault that was mentioned in both Fallout 3 and Fallout 4.

We also know that Fallout 76 will likely be set in 2102, 25 years after the Great War. If true, it would be the earliest game in Fallout’s timeline. For reference, Fallout 4 was set in 2287.

We also know, thanks to several retailers, that the game will come to Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One whenever it arrives on shelves.

Bethesda hasn’t confirmed a Fallout 76 release date yet and that December 31st, 2019 date you see at places like Amazon, Best Buy, and GameStop is obviously a placeholder.

Amazon briefly listed the game with a July 31st release date, but we wouldn’t read too much into that date. Bethesda does have a history of launching new games in the same calendar year as the announcement, but that quick of a turnaround would be extreme, even for Bethesda.

We don’t have an official release date, but that hasn’t stopped retailers from taking your hard earned cash. Fallout 76 pre-orders are available at many popular locations and some of you, particularly those fond of the Fallout series, might be tempted to put in an early order.

In this guide we’ll take you through the best reasons to pre-order Fallout 76 right now. We’ll also take you through the best reasons to wait. At this point, most people are better off waiting a few more weeks.
