Former Nigeria international Mutiu Adepoju has hailed the Super Eagles swift reaction in wins against Lesotho and Benin after the team picked all available 6 points to get her AFCON 2021 qualifying campaign to a good start.
Adepoju speaking in a chat with brila.net said the team is on the right track and getting things done well but will also need to be careful defensively as the team conceded two goals after having conceded in the penultimate 2-1 win over Benin.
“I think the reaction has been good even the last game played against Benin where we conceded early at home but we reacted very fast and we won the game. Yes we are doing things right, the only thing is just to be careful and not conceding first.”
