D’Tigress forward Evelyn Akhator has stated that Nigeria have just made another statement on the continent after emerging victorious at the Pre Olympic qualifiers in Mozambique.
Akhator speaking in a chat with brila.net said the team have shown tremendous strength on the continent and will continue to work hard to ensure the team makes it eventually to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games basketball event.
“A big congratulations to us, I also know that we are going to make it to the Olympic qualifiers and by God grace Olympic proper. It’s our birthright I have always say this before.
“I have been saying this since 2017. It’s our birthright and we just took it back, Nigeria is meant to be in the Olympic. We just made a statement, we’re going to keep conquering, it’s not easy. We have a lot to learn, we have a lot to do.”
