Akhator, Kalu, Ibekwe headline D’Tigress invitees for Atlanta World Cup camp

D’Tigress Head Coach, Sam Vincent has invited 28 players for camping ahead of the 2019 FIBA World Cup.

The list, announced by the NBBF on Friday 13 July, includes 10 players from the team’s successful campaign at the 2017 Women’s AfroBasket championship.

The team will play an exhibition game against the Yellow Jackets Pro All-Star at the Riverside Epicentre, per Bball Naija.

 

After the first phase of training in Atlanta, the team will return to Nigeria for the second and final phase before heading to Turkey where they are expected to play a number of friendly games.

 

The FIBA 2018 Women World Cup is schedule to hold from Thursday 20th to Sunday 30th September 2018 in Tenerife, Spain.
