Alex Iwobi was denied in open play by young Chelsea goalkeeper, Marcin Bulka as Arsenal searched for a leveler, but the Gunner struck the winning spot kick to earn his side a 6-5 penalty win in Wednesday’s pre-season game.
Iwobi came on as a sub in the second half with Arsenal trailing 1-0 and drew a smart save from Bulka with a not so powerful stab on the ball inside the box.

Subsequently, the Arsenal pressure on Chelsea’s defence would pay-off, when Alexander Lacazette redeem following an earlier miss.
The game went into penalty shoot outs after regulation time and it was Iwobi who stepped up to take Arsenal’s kick in sudden death.
He slotted the ball in coolly to beat Bulka and hand Arsenal first blood against the City rivals ahead of the new season.
