Super Eagles Goalkeeper coach Alloy Agu says there’s a possibility that new goalkeepers might be invited into the team while adding that door hasn’t been shut against new players as well.
The Super Eagles on Friday in Egypt finds out their opponents at the upcoming 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
With the tournament not far away, many still believe the goalkeeping department is the weak link of the Super Eagles and called for the invitation of new shot-stoppers.
However, in an exclusive interview with Sports247, Agu said good players are welcome to improve the team, including the goalkeeper.
“We still have few months to the AFCON so there’s still room for other players and including goalkeepers to come in .”
Meanwhile, the gaffer assures Nigerians that the technical crew will do their best to make sure the country is represented at the tournament with best players.
“We will work hard to make sure we get the best legs and hands to represent the country” he concluded.
The Super has been drawn into 2019 AFCON Group B alongside Burundi, Guinea, and Madagascar.
