Amusan ends Nigeria’s 20-year wait to Reach 100m Hurdles Final

Tobi Amusan starts in Lane 8 of the 100 metres Hurdles final at the Athletics World Championship.

Amusan won Heat 3, qualifying in a time of 12.48s; and matching her Personal best for the season.

The 22 year-old’s feat ended a 20-year vacuum since a Nigerian reached the final of the event at the World Championship.

In the final, Amusan will face a tough field that also has favorite, Daniel Williams of Jamaica and her compatriot Janeek Brown.

Also competing will be Kendra Harrison of the USA, whose season’s best of 12.43 means she’s a medal hopeful.
