Arsenal’s youngster Busayo Saka was handed his first premier league starts for the club in their hard-fought 3-2 win over Aston Villa at the Emirates on Sunday.
Arsenal manager Unai Emery kept faith with the young winger following his impressive performance in last Thursday Europa league win over Eintracht Frankfurt, where he scored once and assisted other two on the night.
Saka grabbed the opportunity with both hands as he gave another memorable performance in the Gunners’ come back win over the newly-promoted side.
The eighteen-year-old started the game ahead of Mesut Ozil and almost bagged another assist after he picked out Maitland-Niles in the box, only for the full-back to send his strike high over Tom Heaton’s crossbar.
Bukayo Saka played the entire duration of the game and became the third-youngest player on the day of his first Premier League start for Arsenal, with only Cesc Fábregas (17y 104d) and Theo Walcott (17y 212d) doing so at a younger age.
