CAF CL: Kano Pillars Ready For Asante Kotoko, Says Musa Ibrahim

Kano Pillars head coach, Musa Ibrahim has disclosed that his wards are in good shape ahead of their first round CAF champions league game with Ghanaian side Asante Kotoko.

The Nigerian side are still basking in the euphoria of winning the 2019 Aiteo/Federation cup for the first time in their history, a feat that earned them $1000 each from the state government.

However, in a bid to keep the boys motivated and focused ahead of the crunch tie with the Ghanaian champions, Pillars decided to stay back at Kaduna, the venue of the Aiteo Cup final and played six test matches, winning four and losing two in the process.

“We are in a very good shape, the same way we won the Aiteo Cup and came second in the NPFL, by God’s grace we will do our best on the continent,”

“After we won the cup we stayed back to camp in Kaduna. This was to keep the players concentrated so that they remain in good shape to face Asante Kotoko on Saturday.” the Pillas coach said.
