Count yourselves lucky, Eguavoen tells invited Eagles players

Former Super Eagles coach Austin Eguavoen has stated that the players who have been invited should count themselves lucky, as a large number of Nigerian players continue to play regularly for their clubs across the globe.

Eguavoen added in a chat with www.brila.netthat whatever method was used by coach Rohr in his selection of players should be welcome, while charging the players to give their best

“Whichever method used to invite players is very welcome, and I think the players who have been invited should count themselves lucky”.

“The main thing for the team especially the players is to ensure they go out on the pitch and make themselves happy as well as putting smiles on the aces of soccer loving Nigerians”.

The three-time African champions confront Seychelles in a largely –ceremonial session at the Stephen Keshi Stadium on Friday, 22nd March, starting from 4 pm, and then tackle the Pharaohs of Egypt at the same venue in a prestige international friendly four days later.

All invited players, alongside technical and backroom crew, are to report in the Delta State capital on Monday, 18th March 2019.
