Coach of Nigeria’s U15 national team Haruna Ilerika has stated that the current Eaglets team of Nigeria will come good after the team started their invitational tour of Turkey with a 2-0 win over host Turkey as the team intensify preparation for next month’s FIFA U17 world cup in Brazil.
Ilerika speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said he expects to see a team that will come out stronger and better with a good number of the team having passed through the U15 set up and another two that travelled to Japan few months back also making the cut to Turkey. He added that he expects the team to get stronger with more exposure.
“The crop of boys that are there now, many of them have played with us at the U15 level and hopefully as time goes on, they will be able to play at the U20. Everybody cannot grow together at the same time. Now they won in Turkey, what we need is that exposure, and that exposure is extremely key.”
