Captain of Nigeria’s boxing contingent Ekele Danuloko has refuted claims that there are no quality boxers in Nigeria who would have been medal hopefuls at the Olympic games.
Danuloko speaking in a chat with brila.net stated strongly that the claim is unfounded and that there are quality boxers in Nigeria who will be able to hold their own.
He also added that the Africa qualifiers would have been a better qualifying ground than the much tougher world qualifiers.
“All of us we are not very happy, forget about the say on boxers. We have good boxers, we have good ones we know what we do in camp and the Africa qualifiers is easier to qualify than the world because this is Africa, we know ourselves.
No matter what we have a better chance in Africa than the world qualifiers.”
