Nigeria’s number 2 and Africa number 3 ranked lady Offiong Edem has rued her premature exit at the International Table Tennis Federation world cup in Budapest after injury ruled her out of participation at the world cup in her opening match which she lost 4-3.

An emotional Edem disclosed in a chat with www.brila.net how so sad and disappointed she feels after having put so much effort to prepare for the world championship playing in three different Pro tours but stressed that next for her is how to recover in time to be back playing for her club.
“Sometimes things don’t happen the way we planned even though I practiced so well and I played three Pro tours all in the preparation for this world championship but it’s okay.
Even with the pain I played so well, I am a little bit sad but then again I just have to move on. My world championship is over.”
Edem says up next for her is to recover and resume with her club in time for the 4th of May where she has a game to play.
