El-Kanemi Unveils New technical adviser Mohammed Baba-Ganaru

Nigeria Professional Football League side El Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri has finally secured the signature of Mohammed Baba-Ganaru as the new Technical Adviser ahead of the new season.

Baba-Ganaru will replace Super Eagles assistant Coach Imama Amapakabo whose a year contract with the Club was not renewed following the series of disappointing results last season, along with his roles in the National team.

“Sequel to the end of the contract between Coach Imam Amapakabo and El-Kanemi Warriors FC, the management of the club has resolved not to renew the contract. This is as a result of the fact that the coach is now second in command at the Super Eagles and the workload is now too much for him.

“There is also public outcry that the coach hardly stays in Maiduguri as a result of his national engagement. Coach Imama is one of the best coaches in Nigeria, but then the management had to take this decision in the interest of the team and the state at large”.

“The management appreciates the contribution of the coach, and wishes him all the best in his future endeavors.” The Club’s Secretary Tahiru Bala said.

Baba-Ganaru who has managed NPFL clubs like Kano Pillars, Nasarawa United, Wikki Tourists said he is thrilled to be back at the where he once played.

“It a good feeling to return to my state club”

“I’m once a player for the club, but returning back as a coach is a fulfillment”.  he Said after his unveiling ceremony yesterday.

The experienced coach was in charge of Yobe Desert Stars last season and has since been replaced by Ngozi Elechi.
