Coach of NPFL champion Enyimba FC Usman Abdallah has stated that the People’s Elephants are looking beyond the opening rounds of qualifying as they target a much improved and smooth run in Africa’s premier club competition ahead of this weekend’s CAF champions league qualifying round tie against Burkinabes side Rahimo FC.
Abdallah speaking in a chat gathered by www.Cornerstonenewsng.comsaid the team has bigger target beyond just playing in the competition because they want to do well and possibly give a shot at the title proper which is not beyond them. Abdallah added that once they get through their qualifying round to the group stage, then they will plot how far they can go.
“In the continent, we always want to be better, we want to do very well and going as far as winning the champions league. But at this moment we want to win the first match against Rahimo FC and qualify to the next round until we get to the group stage. We will take the challenge one by one.”
