Erico wants intensive training programme for youth teams

Former Eagles assistant coach and former goalkeeper, Joe Erico has called on the NFF to make sure they improve the intensity as well as the magnitude of training given to both the Golden Eaglets as well as the Flying Eagles to help them better as they would have improved so much before joining the Eagles team.

According to the man known as the Jogo bonito exponent in a chat with brila.net, Nigeria must take a leaf from other countries as the time is now when we must improve on our junior teams to prepare them better for the big stage.
“The basis of developing players should be at a high magnitude, you have to prepare them for the big stage”
“The time has passed when u just carry coaches and give them a bunch of young players to train. There has to be a plan, an intensive training plan”.
“Also the magnitude must be big enough as they are being trained for the big stage”.
The Flying Eagles of Nigeria are presently in Poland for the FIFA U20 world cup where they open their adventure against Qatar tomorrow, while the Golden Eaglets will be looking to do well at the FIFA U17 world cup in Brazil later this year
