Former coach of Nigeria’s senior national basketball team and present coach of Angola  Williams Voigt has backed Nigeria’s D’Tigers as well as Angola to lead Africa’s meaningful challenge at the fast approaching FIBA world cup this August in China.

Voigt speaking in a telephone chat with www.brila.net taking a look at the 5 African representatives at the world cup said Nigeria probably is the most talented in terms of players of the five and Angola who also comes close in that regard and backed the two nations to be the top 2 competing for African sides at the FIBA world cup in China.
“Certainly opportunity for everyone that have qualified to perform at the world cup and Nigeria probably the most talented of the African teams and then we ourselves Angola obviously both of us feel great about the team we can put in China so I am very sure both of us can actually get to China competing.”
Africa will be represented at the FIBA world cup in China by Nigeria, Angola, Senegal, Tunisia, and Ivory Coast.
