Falcons can make world cup semis – James Peter

Former Super Falcons coach, James Peters has urged the senior women’s national team, the Super Falcons of Nigeria to just focus and take each game one after the other if they are to succeed at the FIFA women’s world cup to be held by France, saying that they can go as far as the semi final.
Meanwhile the Falcons will contend with Burkina Faso, Niger Republic and Mali in the group phase of this year’s WAFU B Women’s Tournament taking place in Abidjan, 8th – 18th May. They will play in Group B.
Next month’s tournament will serve as the last preparatory competition for the Super Falcons before they fly to their final camp in Austria ahead of the 8thFIFA Women’s World Cup finals in France.
Already, the Falcons have participated in tune –up tournaments in China, Cyprus and Spain, and speaking with www.brila.net, Peters also added that e wants the girls to show tactical.
“Every game is taken one at a time, you will not play the last game before the first match”
“We will not assume that we will go there and defeat all the other teams in the championship. We have to be confident, the girls need to be confident, but not over confident.”
“I hope to see them do well technically and tactically, and I believe we will get to the semi final of the world cup”.
