Falcons need the prayers of all Nigerians to progress in France – Perpetua Nkwocha

Former Super Falcons striker and four-time CAF African women’s player of the year, Perpetua Nkwocha has called on soccer loving Nigerians in the country to pray for the team as they look to progress from their group.

The Falcons have insisted that they will fight till the end despite their 3-0 defeat to Norway in their opening game at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.

The African champions put up a good fight in the encounter but conceded thrice in the first half and despite tactical changes by Dennerby after the break, failed to stage a comeback.

Speaking ahead of tomorrow’s encounter to www.brila.net, Perpetua Nkwocha says she believes with prayers as well as support from all Nigerians, the team will make it past their group opponents and into the next round.

“Let me just appeal to all Nigerians, they need our prayers, that’s just what the team needs.

” I believe with our prayers and support, they will qualify from their group into the knockout phase, let be hopeful”
