FIFA Rankings: Super Eagles drop to 49th in the World

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have dropped to 49th place on the latest World Football Rankings released by FIFA today.

Nigeria is joint 49th with 2018 World Cup hosts Russia, who moved up 21 places after an impressive World Cup campaign where they reached the quarterfinals.

Having failed to advance from the group stage of the World Cup in Russia, Super Eagles went down and are now 7th  in Africa with Tunisia the leading team in Africa in 24th position.

The Super Eagles will take on Seychelles on September 6 in continuation of the 2019 AFCON qualifiers.
