Former Ghana senior Men’s football team Manager and World recorder-holder Rudi Gutendorf, has died aged 93.
Gutendorf holds a Guinness World Record for coaching 55 teams in 32 countries across five continents.
The German’s managerial career spanned half a century, including time with Bundesliga teams and 18 national sides that included Australia, China and Fiji.
Per BBC Sport, German FA vice-president, Dr Rainer Koch, called him an “outstanding ambassador of German football”.
“We lose in him someone who has enriched us through his big heart and positivity every day,” his family said.
The late Manager also took charge of seven countries in Africa – Botswana, Tanzania, Sao Tome and Principe, Ghana, Mauritius, Zimbabwe and Rwanda.
His final job in management was with Samoa in 2003.
