Gombe United’s Alhassan Yusuf insists NNL and NPFL must be concluded

Captain of Nigeria National League side Gombe united Alhassan Yusuf has stated that the Nigerian football league must be concluded once the all clear comes from the Government and has decried the idea of voiding the NNL or NPFL stressing that teams must have their fate decided either going up or going down.

Yusuf speaking in a chat with www.Cornerstonenewsng.comsaid the current situation of things is one that will be disservice to teams who have their plans mapped out like his team who are in course to make the return to the Premier league.
He added that with two victories in their two outstanding matches, they will be placed top and on course to promote to the NPFL where teams must also relegate to pave way for the teams that will gain promotion.
“We have outstanding like two matches, it’s only we Gombe united that haven’t played five matches, we have only played three matches.
“So for the outstanding matches we are going to win the two matches straight and when we win the two matches we are going to top the league, so for we, it’s better for us to continue the league because we want to promote and play in the NPFL.
