Everyone went to Kompany and then it was Guardiola’s turn, with a bear hug for the man, after doubting his ability to score from that distance.

Kompany said Pep Guardiola had not been the only person doubting him “I could hear people saying ‘don’t shoot, don’t shoot! But I’ve not come this far in my career to have young players tell me when to shoot.”.
Aguero joked around with his teammates after the game, mimicking Pep’s reaction when he tried to stop Kompany from shooting from 30yards saying ‘No shoot Vinnie, no shoot!’, in a video posted on Man city’s official Twitter account.
Belgian defender Kompany’s goal was his first from outside the penalty area for City after 11 years with the club.
The City captain’s long-range strike gave his side a 1-0 win, meaning they will retain their Premier League title if they beat Brighton on Sunday.
The players still thrilled by the performance, took it to social media, tweeting congratulatory messages, Aymeric Laporte teased around with his post while celebrating his captains’ achievement also praising himself for providing the assist “We will see you again “citizens”!
