Coach Fatai Amoo has admitted that the performance of Leicester forward Kelechi Iheanacho, Villarreal’s Samuel Chukwueze, Lille’s Victor Osimhen, and Manchester United Odion Ighalo will open door to more opportunities for Nigerian footballers abroad.
In a chat with brila.net, the former Assistant Coach of the Super Eagles said the exploits of the aforementioned players is going to open ways for other talented Nigerians.
”The likes of Kelechi Iheanacho, Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze are really doing well abroad in their various clubs.”
”I believe that their exploits will encourage the football scout to look into Nigeria for talents,’ He said.
Nigeria’s Samuel Chukwueze exploits in Spain has always been a key surprise to the younger generation and has been inspiring them into greatness in football.
Another surprise package is Kelechi Iheanacho, who has recently rediscovered his old good form after going through a torrid playing time at Leicester.
Meanwhile, Odion Ighalo’s surprising move to his dream club Manchester United is another scenario that will most likely open doors for Nigerian players abroad.
