Nigeria International Alex Iwobi was in action for Everton, as they lost 1-3 at home to Champions Manchester City on Saturday.
After starting in the league cup win over Luton Town in midweek, Marco Silva decided to drop the Nigerian to the bench for crucial battle against the champions at the Goodison Park.
However, Iwobi was sent on for injured former Arsenal winger Theo Walcott in the 7th minutes of the game.
The 23-year-old made impact as he had hand in Everton’s equalizer eight minutes after Gabriel Jesus had given the visitors the lead.
Alex Iwobi squeezed the ball through to Coleman at an angle, and the right-back did well to lift it over Ederson as Calvert-Lewin made sure with a header on the line.
The former Arsenal winger was later replaced in the 74th minutes by Moise Keane.
But further goals from Riyad Mahrez and Raheem Sterling condemned the Toffees to another defeat in the league.
