Iwobi’s Everton manager to be sacked in few hours

Alex Iwobi’s Everton boss Marco Silva is on the verge of losing his job after Wednesday’s 5-2 derby defeat to Liverpool.

Goals from Divock Origi (two), Xherdan Shaqiri, Sadio Mane and Georginio Wijnaldum condemned Everton to their ninth league defeat of the campaign, leaving them 18th.

 

Various reports has it that majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri is fed up and ready to make managerial change in the coming hours.

 

Another reports has it the Club has opened talk with former boss David Moyes for a possible return to the Goodison Park since his departure for Manchester United.

 

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe and former Tottenham Hotspurs manager Mauricio Pochetino also have been heavily linked with the role.

 

Nine defeats in the first 15 league games of this season have sent the Club into the relegation zone and the board believed a change is necessary.

 

Iwobi who joined the Toffees for a fee of 35 million pounds last summer was on for 90 minutes at Anfield but was unable to help his team avoid embarrassing defeat to their neighbors.
