Super Eagles and FC Porto midfielder Kelechi Nwakali has expressed his readiness to fight for a place in the Nigeria National team.
Nwakali has shown flashes of his abilities while playing for the Nigeria U-20 side and most recently in a pre-World Cup game vs Atletico Madrid in Uyo.
“I hope I can keep my performance up and hopefully also with the national team should I be called up,” Nwakali declared.
“It has always been my dream to represent my country at the highest level.
“If the coach decides I am up for it, I will be ready to take up the challenge.
“I will, therefore, work hard, improve myself and be at my best to ensure I am part of the Super Eagles.”
Nwakali earlier in the summer made a switch to Portugal giants FC Porto on Loan from Arsenal, he is expected to represent the FC Porto B team during his loan spell.
