Lawrence Kingsley hails Dakkada’s win against Warri Wolves

Dakkada FC chief coach Lawrence Kingsley praised his players’ perseverance and tenacity after a hard earned win over Warri Wolves at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Sunday.

A brace from captain Aniekan Ekpe elevated the Akwa Ibom based team to eighth position on the league standings with 11 points from seven games.

Ekpe broke the deadlock in the 38th minute with a ferocious strike from the edge of the box.

The midfielder then added the second in the 52nd minute from the penalty spot after Christian Ekong was brought down by Ijeh Daniel.

Speaking after the game, Lawrence Kingsley explained that the changes he made helped the team and he’s confident they will improve as the season progresses.

“We all saw today ( Sunday ) the outcome of the match today due to the changes we made in the team,” the Coach said.

“Some players are missing due to injury and we have to inject some young lads into the team which really work out.

“The boys played well and deserve to win, although we aren’t a perfect team yet, we will keep improving.”
