Lobi Stars’ goalkeeper reveals team’s plans for continental return

Lobi Stars of makurdi player, John Lawrence has disclosed that his side is really making frantic efforts to return to continental action next season.

Disclosing this to brila.net, John noted that they have to play more effective football and remain consistent in terms of tactical play. He equally stated that a lot has to be done in terms of the welfare of players to get the best from them.
“Continental football was a good experience and we are doing everything possible to return there. The rules are strict and are at the pinnacle of football in Africa.
I hope that we can be more upright and organized in the league just like I saw teams in the Champions League. People in the league say a lot about the officiating but to me, it isn’t the main problem. We play football here like it’s for charity and we are not valued.
For example, players are not even insured, the players we met were insured and even if any of them were to get injured, they would be taken care of because they are well insured but here you are just on your own, you will be abandoned.”
Lobi Stars are currently fourth in group A of the NPFL.
