Neymar is wanted by Barcelona this summer. But according to Daily Express, PSG have blocked the Catalan giants from negotiating a transfer and are instead trying to flog him to Manchester United and Real Madrid.
Neymar wants to return to Barcelona just two years after joining PSG in a world-record £200million transfer.
However, in the past 24 hours, Real Madrid have upped the ante when it comes to the race to land the Brazil international.
With Los Blancos struggling in pre-season, club president Florentino Perez has opened talks over a deal to sign Neymar from under the noses of fierce rivals Barcelona.
And Catalan newspaper Sport say that PSG have blocked Barcelona from entering talks regarding a possible deal for the 27-year-old.
Barca feel they have done their part: they have tried securing Neymar on loan and, alternatively, offered players to PSG as part of a deal.
Just yesterday, it was claimed the Ligue 1 titans were receptive to the idea of taking Ivan Rakitic and Ousmane Dembele.
But, now, things have changed.
PSG do not want Neymar going to Barcelona. Relations between the clubs are strained, to put it mildly.
Now, there is hope at PSG that Real Madrid will take him off their hands instead.
They have already decided to test the waters and are in talks over what would be one of the biggest deals of the summer.
Manchester United were reportedly offered the chance to take Neymar.
But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has no interest in the Brazil international – and neither do Juventus.
Meanwhile, Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde recently opened up on Neymar and Real’s pursuit of the forward while on the club’s pre-season tour of Miami.
“[Neymar to Madrid reports] are from yesterday,” Valverde said.
“Let’s see what happens tomorrow. The last time I came to this stadium, I had to answer a load of questions about Neymar.
“Two years later, it’s the same again, it’s like it’s following me. I don’t know what’s going to happen.”
