Former three-time Olympian and current Technical Director of the Nigeria Taekwondo Federation, Engr. Chika Chukwumerije has expressed his delight over the successful completion of the National trials for the All African Games in Abuja.
The former Olympian also confirmed that the federation has discovered capable athletes that will do the country proud in the All Africa Games coming up later in Morocco.
Chukwumerije in a chat with brila.net said the Federation was able to discover athletes from the recent trials they conducted over the weekend to compete at the forthcoming All African games.
”You can see that the best will have to storm the national camp following the output of the national trials knowing how formidable our opponents from various African countries were ”
”The timing is very short but we have to imbibe or rather deploy an aggressive, technical and tactical program to make sure the athletes are able to medal among the contingent that will represent Nigeria in the All Africa Games ” Chukwumerije said.
