Ndidi Shows Signs He’s Back for Good as He Returns to Action for Leicester City

Wilfred Ndidi was back on the pitch again after missing three premier league games due to a knee injury he suffered in January and a further relapse.

Ndidi was introduced in the final 23 minutes of Leicester’s PL game against relegation battling Norwich on Friday night at Carrow Road.

The combative midfielder showed encouraging signs that he could be back to his best form and he stayed fit through until the final blast of the whistle.

He put in a good shift working the spaces and sometimes the ball as he linked well with the Foxes defence and the attack, without Jamie Vardy up front, but Kelechi Iheanacho in his stead creating problems for the Canaries’ defence.

However, Leicester were punished by Norwich youngster Jamal Lewis, whose pile driver curled away from several anxious Leicester legs and Kasper Schmeichel between the sticks.

The Dane would be called to action again as the hosts looked to finish off the game, but the Leicester captain on the night was not going to be beaten again.

At the other end, Ndidi was unfortunate not to profit off a loose headed clearance by a Norwich defender, as he lounged in with his side chasing the leveler.

A huge let off for the home side and another chance went begging, once again Ndidi was involved in the play as well as Iheanacho, the latter expertly beating the defence with some deft touches, but the final ball from Ricardo Pereira wasn’t good enough.

It was a disappointing return for Ndidi as far as the result was concerned, but the Midfielder no doubt must have felt the delight of being back in action to help Leicester’s push for European football next season.

For the Manager, relief to have one of the League’s best players fit again as the season hits a home stretch.
