Nigerian Football Federation took to their social media handle to pay tribute to Super Eagles defender Shehu Abdullahi who is celebrating his 27th birthday.
The versatile defender who was born on the 12th of March in the Northern region of Nigeria turns 27th today and the Nigerian football governing body took to their handle to wish him well.
“Happy birthday to the versatile @OfficialShehu ” the statement said on official NFF twitter handle.
It’s an exciting time for Abdullahi scored twice in the last five days for his Turkish side Bursaspor to take his tally to four goals in the current campaign.
Abdullahi started his career in the Nigeria professional football league with Kano Pillars and Plateau United, he also starred for Anorthosis Famagusta in Cyprus where he made 48 appearances before moving to Turkish side Busarspor.
Shehu was part of the bronze medal winning Chan team under the late Stephen Keshi and also part of the Nigeria Olympic team that won bronze medal in Rio 2016.
The defender also featured for the Super in 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and also played a major role in the Bronze medal winning team at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
