Nigeria’s 2020 FIFA U20 women world cup bid Coordinator Mainasara Illoh has stated that Nigeria will wait but anticipates a favourable response from world football governing body FIFA to officially award Nigeria the hosting right of the 2020 FIFA U20 women world cup.
Illo speaking in a chat gathered by www.brila.net during an inspection tour of potential venues and facilities to be used said contrary to views that FIFA handed Nigeria the chance to host says Nigeria actually submitted an official bid for the tournament to have earned FIFA’s attention to coke inspect what Nigeria have to offer.
“FIFA standards are FIFA standards, we had to submit a bid document 968 pages long which mean a lot of work done in substance and academics for such document.
We did that and they went through everything before deciding that we had a competent bid that will qualify for an inspection like this. We cannot assume that it’s all done until it is finally done.”
