Nigeria will be under pressure to perform at AFCON 2019 – Christopher

Former Super Eagles defensive midfield stalwart Justice Christopher has stated that coach Gernot Rohr and the Nigeria senior national team will be under pressure to perform at the fast approaching AFCON in Egypt and has stressed that there are no longer minnows in football.

Christopher speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the Nigerian side cannot afford to fail not after raising hope and expectation of millions of Nigeria. He added however that he is sure the Super Eagles team will deliver in Egypt.
“Absolutely we are going to be under pressure, definitely he is going to be under pressure and Nigeria is going to be under pressure.
There are no smaller nations now, every nation is a football nation but I think he (Gernot Rohr) is going to be under pressure, Nigeria is going g to be under pressure but I think we are going to deliver.”
Nigeria’s Super Eagles are housed alongside Guinea, debutante duo of Madagascar and Burundi at the group stage of the 2019 AFCON.
