Nigerian clubs fail in CAF competitions due to poor preparation, says Ezeji

NPFL legend and player’s advisor in the league,  Victor Ezeji has submitted that Nigerian clubside do not go all the way on the continent due to one major reason which he says is lack of adequate preparation.

Lobi Stars and Enugu Rangers were amongst the clubs to represent the country on the continent, but both teams were dumped out of the group stages of both the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederations Cup.
Speaking with www.brila.net, Ezeji further added that Nigeria should also learn from the North Africans as they are always doing well in continental engagements.
“It has to do with preparation…any competition you prepare well, you do well.”
“Our clubs fail to prepare well, even traveling arrangements, most times they travel in batches and they get exhausted when they get there but you see the North Africans they all fly in into your base once.
It’s not like we don’t have the players, it’s the administrative part we have to take care of, if these are properly managed, we won’t be hearing all these issues on daily basis.
