Former Super Eagles striker and ex-international, Stephen Ayodele Makinwa has called on players of the Eagles as well as the team’s technical crew not to put too much emphasis on winning the match against Ukraine on the 10th of next month but rather to test the ability of the team.
Speaking to brila.net, Makinwa also added that although it is good to have a great result against a top team like Ukraine, the main objective should be using the match to improve our Eagles squad moving forward.
“The result definitely would matter for is to be able to test our abilities as a team”.
“I won’t give the result that much importance, but at the same time, it’s always good to have a good match so it’s going to be a preparation match, but what is more important is what we achieve from the game so that we can improve our team, that’s what we really need to focus on”.
